For over two centuries, the blenders and spinners of Samuel Gawith, Kendal, have been producing the famous Kendal Twists. Coal miners, both underground and on the ground, have been chewing our Pigtails , whilst pipe smokers have savoured the rich flavours and slow burning characteristics of the thick Brown No.4.

Because the process is almost entirely by hand, quality control ensures consistency of excellence.

Even though it comes in bulk form and is pictured to the left as a long rope, it is actually precut into approx 10cm logs. Approx weight of these is between 20-25g. If there is ever a large difference in weight/price then we will quote you before sending your parcel out.
